best untwinked 3-person team

[:1]I have not touched D2 for a very long time. I'm looking for opinions on the best 3-person team (untwinked) that will be able to quickly get to Hell? The object is to beat Baal or N and NM as fast as possible.

I'm not familiar with any new strats or builds that may have developed with the release of 1.13 since I haven't played it.

What would you say is the best 3-person team for untwinked HC, if the object is to simply reach Hell? And what if it is to beat Baal in Hell mode?

Would love to hear your suggestions...|||i�d guess its:

blizzard (or orb for n & nm) sorc

bo barb (prolly singer to stun or ww)

hdin (with the res aura for situations it�s needed)|||That completely depends on your definition of "best".

Imho any 3-man untwinked team can beat Baal if the dmg types are spread out enough.

Next to spreading the dmg types there are just a couple of things that should be considered to make life easier:

- Get a life booster (barb comes to mind, druid works as well).

- Have some tanks, preferrably a couple minions (valk, shadow, grizzly)

- Get a fast boss killer for convenience.

Based upon that just pick whatever you guys feel like playing. The fastest way to beat Hell baal is if all three enjoy their character and keep on playing |||Sorceress, Barbarian and Necromancer.

Barbarian will mostly just be for buffs, allowing the sorceress to teleport relatively safely with poor equipment. The necromancer will have useful curses and pets to tank.

Hell council and CS will be your primary challenges, the rest should be easy.|||Although Sorc/Barb/Necro would be my first choice,

And I have had luck with Barbs in HC,

I would have to put in a word for 3 Paladins. ( Holy Fire, Holy Freeze and Holy Shock ).

After about 9 hours, the Holy Fire Paladin got killed. ( Lowest damage ),

by an Errant council member in hell. We spent at least 2 hours of that,

running Mephisto NM, to get items. We did get some good unique shields,

( an Eye, and a Stormguild, as well as some good rings, and had a

lot of hit points and a lot of pots! ).

After BurnBaby-P got killed, we looted, and started over with a barbarian, for the war cries, but didnt get any farther than NM Mephisto...|||I second Barbarian, Sorceress and Necromancer.

The barbarian will make everyone have large mana and health pools with battle orders (it will only really shine in nightmare and hell) plus crowd control skills, the necromancer can make tons of meatshields and support/crowd control with curses and the sorceress will just melt everything that skeletons can't already mow down, not to mention static field (yay boss farming!) and teleport to get everyone where they need to be all that much faster.|||I wonder how well the following would fare?

Sorc - Pure orb with points in teleport/telekenesis/energy shield. Safest blind teleporting there is in cheap, quick to find gear.

Necro - MM with max lower resists (probably skip skeletal mage to free up the points)

Sin - Pure light trapsin.

My thinking is that they're all relatively safe builds (Dim Vision and/or Cloak of Shadows + cold + decrep + minion support) whose only major weaknesses in solo play are their lack of variety in damage sources but together cold/light/physical covers pretty much everything.|||Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I initially thought about a sin, sorc, necro team. Also entertained the idea of a dual sorc, necro team. Having read all of the above, I think we'll do a barb, sorc, necro team, since that seems to have most support. Even looking at different team makeups, barb, sorc, and necro, seem to have the most support as individual classes.|||The highest damage/fastest powerleveling team hasnt been pointed out yet though - it is two hdins(one with conviction) along with an elemental char(probably light/fire sorc for teleport). An excellent choice if someone has cta or a barb to load for bo. But for safety yeah krupas build, the necro builds really are more of a joke build/funbuild, not for serious powergaming. Necro+sorc kills nowhere near as fast as pala+sorc(except possibly well geared poison+fire/light sorc).|||Quote:

I doubt the efficacy of hdin/hdin/elemental damage dealer untwinked in HC. Twinked, sure awesome group, but untwinked? I don't know. Hdins are much more gear dependent than the 'joke build' of CE + minions. I know which one I'd rather have in my party in **** gear in hell that's for sure. CE needs no gear, literally none, to be an effective killer in hell. Hdin is a pretty **** first character for HC IMO.
