Yes, I am making the overly cheesy and overpowered LamerDin appropriatly named FromUnda due to the cheese involved. I havent played a Hammerdin in a while but look forward to making a overly powerful killing machine but just cant remember something.
Does Infinity's conviction work for Blessed Hammer or not? I cant recall if it does or if a good old mana stick on a Holyfreeze merc is the way to go for a MFing Baal runner Hammerdin..|||hammers --> magic damage
infi --> lowers fire cold light res, no magic.
holyfreeze ---> you spamming hammers, so you want creeps coming towards you, so you d be better off with either combat insight stick merc / defense merc or cs act3 merc.|||Don't do it!

Decrepify for Baalzor, Sanctuary to keep dolls away from your precious face (1/2 of the things that kill Hammerdins gone) and you get to feel cool because you took advice from a Toaster.

If you don't need the mana from insight then I suggest this as well. It is great for knights too as most of the swords don't do great damage and so IM isn't as big an issue.
A certain PvM genius recently recommended an a1 merc with an ice bow as well. While I have never tried it, I can see how it could be quite handy too.|||Thanks for the informative replies and Im curently walking through Nm act 2 at level 47. I went ahead and went with a Prayer merc using an Insight for the time being. I dont have the Lawbringer roonword and dont really feel like trying to trade for one plus I enjoy the unlimited Hammer Spamming ..
|||Redemption is pretty amazing... There really is no need for 'Insight' unless you're planning to teleport to baal. If you're going to just walk around, then Redemption will top you up just fine after each battle, and you can give your merc a really nice big fat hurty stick. I have recently fallen in love with the Reaper's Toll, but there are others to choose from, of course. And as a bonus, Redemption cleans up corpses nicely. You already know all this though, of course... You are Dave, you've been playing D2 longer then me!Quote:

I really haven't been paying attention to post counts since... well since I hit 1337 post. I could have sworn you were WAY ahead of me recently though. Oh well, shows what I know.

P.S. OHH, and DON'T DO IT DAVE!!! Take a break, play something else! You need to be fresh for the reset.|||I got several sword shells for making Lawbringer in. I think it's the best choice for a Lamerdin as well. I have one for my Frost Maiden and she's my doll killer.
