NEW HC Sin

So I want to make a Sin to PK with. I don't know if thats gonna cause me to get flamed for saying but I love PKing, and games with full PvP loot (Ultima, DarkFall Online)

My question is this, I love Traps sins with a passion. Are they any good at PKing? If not whats a good Sin PK build?|||Quote:

Trapsins are good PvP characters, as traps together with mind blast can stunlock and then finish off a player. This is all good and well in organised duelling, but it won't help you kill while PKing, as it takes enough time to kill someone with traps for the player to tp, exit game (or worse, have some hacks do that for him below a certain amount of life).

So trapsins work in organised duels, but don't have the one hit kill ability you'll need to hunt and take down unwilling targets. If that's what you're after, you're gonna need a more melee centered build. Dragon Talon is good for its fast attack speed, and packs quite a punch. Charging up on monsters beforehand is troublesome when hunting, but Tiger strike will give you an insane ammount of %ED, so you'll have a one hit killer attack.

Depending on what you want to do (PvP or hunting), your budget and item base, what lvl you'll be at and what lvl players you're targeting, different setups and builds are possible. So if you need any specific advice, tell us more about what kind of character you want to build.|||Im not too worried about items, as I can obtain those with time and patience. I would be willing to do a WW build.|||Not an expert on high lvl stuff, but WW might work from desynch (they don't see you coming, so you can do a few big hits fast). At least, charge from paladins works wonders from desynch so I'm assuming this could too. You'll need different techniques than in the softcore builds, as they're all about Open wounds and other stuff that's just not interesting for your build. In stead you'll need to focus on your raw damage more, as you'll want to kill in one ww pass. You're gonna get some problems with chicken hack as you'll do damage in a few hits rather than one hit, but a win is a win, by chichen or by ear doesn't matter.

For a lower lvl, full strenght and kicks are a nice way to go. Steer away from charges, you won't have time for fancy things like that.|||Wait what level do you want to pk at? Because a lvl 9 sin can do wonders (killing up to level 30's) and people don't tp as they think it's a joke where as if you try and kill the same people with a lowish or mid level sin will tp to town.

So is it a low level sin pk'er (9-18), lowish level sin (18-35), mid level (35-60), or high level (60-99)?|||I would think high lvl would be funest for me. So ill aim for that.|||Trapper... Tgods or wisp is pretty standard PvM equipment in HC, as is stacked LR to combat convic/lr gloams. Dueling you really won't touch anyone, PKing you MIGHT get the odd ear, but they'll be few and far between.

MA might be a better bet for PKing as you might catch people thinking they're safe from trappers. Especially if you drop a point in LS and use trap claws on switch to try and trick them. You won't get near enough damage for duels though I don't think. Can't comment too much on high level MA though as my only experience with it is LLD and one HLD in 1.09 on softcore.|||High level then I would do a melee char of some kind with mindblast to stun lock them...

Best is to go for the ED skills which can equate to massive massive damage (or at least they can for low level sins haven't built a high level pk'er recently).
