Realm Instability?

About 10 minutes ago my Level 89 Orb / Hydra Sorceress was doing one of her (probably) last runs of the Ancient Tunnels, hoping to scare up a rune or two before the Ladder resets... there was about 5-6 seconds of lag and, being the nice cautious D2 player that I am, of course I exited.

Screen went black and when D2 finally came up again (~10 seconds later), it kicked me all the way back to the login screen, when I did so, it gave me that annoying "Your Account Has Been Temporarily Suspended..." temp ban message.

At the time there were no monsters of any kind and I was not spamming spells... I have noticed that US East has been laggy and unreliable for the last week or so, have any of the rest of you noticed this?

I sure hope my Sorceress is okay... I can't check to see if she made it out of there safely...

Mr. Bill|||Europe HC has been giving problems too for me. Login to Bnet for a fast run, make a game, halfway the run everything freezes and mosters start doing the moonwalk, exit and try to get into a new game, but the gate stays close.

Normally this is caused by lag, only troubles me when I log in in prime time. This week I've been getting these problems at 11AM or in the middle of the night too, so they're defiately doing something that creates lag. Come to think of it, it looks like these things happen in US work hours (more or less). Probably something to do with the patch...
