Standard of Heroes

Does a Standard of Heroes do anything? Does it have any value? The once time that I kill the Ubers I left them lay and only picked up the charm. Did I miss something?|||nah. at least noone's figured it out yet. You should grab one just for bragging rights though|||nah. at least noone's figured it out yet. The best theory I've heard so far is that it prevents you from losing exp when you die on softcore. I doubt it's true, but it's a whole lot better than other theories I've heard.|||Quote:

Never thought of this. It can easily be checked, I will get back later with result.

edit: Nope... experience were lost (both at the death and after recovery of body with the standard of heroes on).|||Thanks for the replies. I was starting to worry that I had left somethimng valuable on the ground.|||i test it and it doesnst prevent exp lose on sc bt it does make for less exp loss that without the soh|||Quote:

I don't care what you say, the SOH does nothing but the following:

1) Has a level requirement of 90.

1)Turns into a flag or "standard" when you drop it on the ground.

2) Takes up one space in inventory.

3) Causes seemingly endless speculation and rumors.

Becuase it has a level requirement of 90 I personally believe it will do SOMETHING in a future patch. Right now it does nothing but what I've posted above. Anybody else want to kill a lvl 90+ character to find out if he's right, go ahead.

Edit: Hardcore forum, LOL!!!|||Quote:

Right, Hardcore forum :laugh:

I tried dying on a lvl 96 sorc with SOH on, I seemed to lose quite a bit of exp... |||In my opinion the SOH does just as much as the chat gem in the channels... it works perfectly.
