Ik barb

Ok so if I want to run with an IK Barb because it's the only thing in HC I have not yet done what would be the best Skills for me to use?

I mean I was looking at WW but would that really be usefull with the IK hammer? Otherwise I guess I will put some into shouts maybe/ Or should I go with Zerk and just try to survive like that? If someone could help that would be mucho gracias

~Kyle~|||I have an IK Barb that uses Conc maxed and Zerk with about half maxed. I alternate between attacks and it works great. Conc is a little slow killing but very safe, and it has BO as a synergy which is real nice.|||awesome thanx much sara|||ZappaFan's new name is Sara?!

IK set: Conc or Whirlwind are both awesome. My personal build is to go with full whirl and mastery, 1 pt. conc' & 'zerk and the rest into BO & Shout.

The sockets I filled with Sol runes, because this build makes an awesome Nihlathak runner and it makes him almost impervious to anything outside of Nihlathak's halls, as well.|||Agree with MYK. WW works great as long as you socket the maul with at least 30% additional IAS (two Shaels on a budget, two ed/ias jewels for style points). I socket everything else with topazes and throw a point into Find Item for Pit and Trav running, but I also keep another 'SolSol' helm (and an amulet "of Life Everlasting") in my stash for Nihlathak running. It's one of the most versatile melee builds out there, and it's relatively cheap.|||Master Zap is Sara.

On topic however, 1 pt conc + skills was enough for me to off Nihl in a few hits so I'd say go with Whirlwind for the crowd control aspects. If you use your cries well you'll be able to take almost anything - just don't WarCry an Fe/Le boss.|||"Master Zap is Sara.

Points after build completion went to Conc, coz I used him mostly for Nihla running with a Sol'ed hat, armor and ammy of life everlasting. Leap Attack to zoom in on nilly and conc to death. Leap Attack again if he teleports.|||Quote:

Sara is probably one of the nicer things I've been called |||My IK barb last season rocked and lived up to his name, ImmortalKing. He utilized WW in offense and there's nothing quite like being nigh-immortal without even wearing a shield. The only times he came close to dying were in pit runs when he got amped by a big pack of archers and was mid WW or something so he couldn't leap away. A safe, all around build that can basically run any area in the game, including CS with a 1 point Berzerk.

Having a few helms with different socket setups and a spare necklace or two can turn him from a Baal running mf'er into a key hunting miracle with a swap of a few items. A build I intend to do again after (if) the ladder resets for sure, way more fun to play than a cheesedin or a topped out lightning sorc, even if he can't quite rival their killing speed.

edit: Don't forget the 1 pointers from the warcries tree, grim ward and especially howl can be lifesavers. That extra 5% defence won't save you when you're swarmed, a howl or a grim ward will.
