The problem is, every few durance runs (roughly 1 out of 4) I find myself teleporting right on top of some Minion/Aura enchanted doll pack and get half of my HP bulb burned down by the moment the hit recovery animation ends. And this is exactly how my lvl 86 sorceress died back in 1.11 (with quite godly gear back in the day), on a fanaticism-enchanted dolls in hell that one shotted me.
I understand that while this is NM difficulty and can mostly just say "phew... I'll drink a red one now", in Hell it would be potentially instant death.
So... Right now my stats are around 600HP, 2100 Armor (shiver armor+defensive merc aura), over 50 each resistance in NM, Hitting 10-frames cast animation and 8-frames hit recovery animation; I think I might need to adjust my playstyle a bit, trying looking up in youtube for some sorc teleporting videos but didn't end up with nothing decent on this topic, that's why decided asking a community for an advice. I MF mostly alone so there will be no one to recover my items if I fail

What I do now is:
- Buff myself shiver armor and let the merc proc his aura
- Hold right click to teleport while looking minimap for direction
- Drink blue when mana goes below 25% approx (merc has insight)
- When killing mobs, I keep teleporting until I find a "safe spot", let my merc go tank them and start throwing orbs at them hoping they will be all dead by the time they reach me.
Finally (sorry for a wall of text

- Should I teleport at max distance to get past areas faster or take shorter leaps in order to be able to react if there are nasty mobs ahead and take a turn around?
- Should I stick to walls or go right through the middle of the rooms? Does it matter at all?
- Should I start drinking all kind of potions right away if I see glowing mobs around me or actually it's more common to wait to be hit?
- If I'm crowded in a kinda small room/passage should I walk back so the merc gets the aggro while I clear some room, or continue teleporting around hoping to find a safe spot to rest?
- When clearing up an area should I stick to one spot and nuke the mobs with orbs or throw orbs while teleporting around is better?
- Any video on youtube or similar that depicts "good" sorc teleport playstyle (since I couldn't find that by myself)?
EDIT: Sorry forgot to mention, teleporting stops when I hover a chest with a mouse, It leads to some "tense" situations. Is there any way to override this game behaviour?|||I'm not sure what everyone else does, but this is what I do:
1. Wait about half a second between teleports. Instead of just holding the button down, quickly scan the screen for an empty area to teleport to and teleport there. This greatly reduces the likelihood that you'll get yourself stuck in the middle of a mob.
2. Don't panic. Even if you see enemies on all sides, teleporting away as fast as possible will only get you stuck in another mob. Instead, if you find enemies closing in on you, wait until they get closer and teleport to where they were and continue on.
3. If you get surrounded by a particularly large mob, don't run. Instead, try to thin them out a bit. A Sorceress should be able to kill them fairly quickly. Just teleport to safe spots and cast spells at them.
4. Stay near the walls. There are two reasons for this. First, when you stick to the wall, you'll only attract enemies on one side, rather than on both sides. Going through the middles of rooms will attract the attention of more mobs. Second, in places like the catacombs or Mephisto's durance, there's most likely a room on the other side of walls, which means that, if necessary, you can put a physical barrier between yourself and your enemies.
5. When in enclosed areas that are nigh impossible to be able to tell what you're teleporting into, like Maggot Lair, just walk.|||Ephraim has some good advice.
If you haven't checked out Socialism's guide, you should. Here is a link:

Have a lot of back-up characters in your 1.13 account.

Mr. Bill|||"EDIT: Sorry forgot to mention, teleporting stops when I hover a chest with a mouse, It leads to some "tense" situations. Is there any way to override this game behaviour?"
Hold alt while teleporting. Doing that disables the mouse cursor from "identifying" items so you won't stall when your mouse ends up hovering over chests, doors, items or anything else that's clickable.
Personally, I always hold my thumb on alt, the middle finger on belt column two which is reds (or big juvs if I have too many of them), and the index finger on belt column 3 which is always full juvs if I'm not out. Column 1 is reds and column 4 is blues which I can tap into as need be.
It's a bit awkward at first but you'll get used to it and it will keep you alive more times than you'll keep track of :P.
You also want a bare minimum of 63fcr (next breakpoint is 105 which is nice but hard to get and not really needed), 30fhr (>42>60>86 easy to get with average gear), and 27fbr (most any blocking shield will get you to 30fbr so this is easy) if you use blocking which is recommended once you get some half decent gear to afford dumping all those points into dexterity (until then I recommend you put all into life and zero into dexterity).|||NDIII has the right idea.
How is your block? I hit at least 63% FCR, and I always try to achieve 75% block.
I traded a LOT for a Whistan's Guard and Lum Rune when I got to NM. Your quests, PDiamond in Whistan's, and Smoke Armor from Lum Rune + the rest of your gear should put you close to 75 all, and having 75% block helps a bunch. Everything else at that early in the game is pretty much moot. I also sacrifice damage for Telekinesis, and use a Memory Staff (previously shoppable +3 ES staff). It's been smooth sailing since (I've build the same sorceress for 3 seasons now and they've all survived very well).
I've almost died twice in hell to Fanat Archers & Amp mobs, but that's it. I just sandbag Full Rejuvs like a champ
