So anyways, I am new to HC, and i'm hoping the player-base is much more friendly as opposed to SC. Meaning more teamwork, more conversation, and not a whole bunch of blah blah ****-talk :P
I've decided my first HC char is going to be a Trapsin. I've never had an assassin before, in SC or any other part of D2, and since now seems like a nice change in pace (SC to HC), why not jump out of my comfort zone and try a completely new char while i'm at it?

So basically i'm just using this as an introduction thread now, my account in-game is Grimm357 if you feel compelled to shoot the breeze or welcome me to HC.
Wouldn't mind having a partner to level up with, but unfortunately everyone on my friends list has long since retired, so chances are i'll be lonely until I get to know you guys :P

USEast HC Ladder in case anyone was curious. East HC Ladder seems dead... not alot of activity o.O
So, I was browsing the HC Graveyard on the forums last night... and oddly enough saw no pure trapsins in it. Any sin that was there happened to be Trap/Kicker or pure kicker.
So does this mean that Pure Traps isn't HC-viable?
I'm not entirely sure on what Trappicker looks like, (Yes that was intentional) but this is what I have so far:
20-Fire Blast
20- Lightning Sentry
20- Death Sentry
I'm guessing from what i've seen/heard you guys on HC use DS over LS due to the corpse explosion mowing down big mobs quickly? Do the synergies that boost LS affect its boost on DS? Wasn't sure about that.
As far as the kicker part, all I can really think of is:
20- Tiger Strike- Charge-up Skill
20- Dragon Talon- Finishing Move
As for any other skills that should be maxed or used, i've got no clue.. If anyone minds correcting my wrongs or shedding insight on this particular build, it'd be greatly appreciated ^_~!|||Pure Trappers survive very well dude, I have never made a kicker in the whole time I have played this game so I wish I could shed some light on that as well!|||u�ll want one switch for the kicking part and one for the trapping part:
on kicking part get either lvl 6 12 18 or 24 DT and forget about the tiger strike
those lvls are the points were the skill grants u an extra kick
claw mastery affects the ar of ur kicks but not the dmg, so u might want some of that too
also ur chouce about claw shield or dual claw -> claw block
don�t forget about mindblast, fade or bos /diminishing returns!) and shadow master, very useful skills.
depending if u want to focus a bit more on kicks or traps go for venom or LS�s synergies
on the kick part u�ll want the highest dmg boots u can get and some cb (life tap would be cool too, but draculs arent�t that cheap. black in a flail is always a nice choice for that.
for traps get some 2 times 3 trap claws or 3 trap claw + shield...|||Well, i've gave it some thought, and considering this is my first sin, as well as first HC char, I think I want to play it safe and stick to a Pure Trapsin. Maybe once I get used to using a sin i'll turn her into a Trappicker later on.

So it seems lady luck is on my side so far, first HC char, lvl 20, and getting ready to do a bit of self-tombing before I go and stand toe-to-toe with Duriel. Should've made a new account for HC, i've got 7 Non-Ladder SC chars, all which are either geared or mules... and my Sin has a full stash of chipped gems and low runes @_@;; Almost no room at all to put anything lol :/
So, I poked my head into the op xbananax channel a few times last night and today, and it seems noone uses it? I've not seen one person in it asides from the mod bot that never talks O_o;;

Probably wont be many online until the ladder reset though.
