Please be pretty precise because I am an old dude who doesn't have the PC skills of some of you young guys.
Many thanks in advance.|||They recently changed it so it stretches for widescreen, so the only way to fix it is so that it doesnt scale. You will have 2 huge black bars on both sides of your screen though.|||You could try moving the screen a lot father back or changing the resolution like you've done so it doesn't look as horrible. The only other alternative is windowed mode.
Right-click on your diablo 2 shortcut, click properties, and add -w in the box that says target and click apply. So you will have something like
Target: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w
You can either play with the small box in the middle of the screen or maximize it. Maximized it looks almost as bad as just playing fullscreen.
I didn't like the windowed look at first (squinting to see wtf is going on hurts your eyes :P) but I've gotten use to it now and can't go back to fullscreen which just looks horrible to me now.|||Do you play singleplayer by any chance?
If so then you may wanna look at this.|||right click on your diablo shortcut.
in target field add: -w
and thats how i came round my problem on 24" screen.
