WW Barb with a few points in Frenzy for ubers?

[:1]So my main character this new ladder season is a WW barb. His skills are:

20 WW

20 Mastery

20 Shout

20 Battle Orders

1 point in all prereqs,1 point find potion/item, 1 point in battle cry/command, 1 point in increased stamina/defense/speed, and 6 points in natural resistances, 6 points in frenzy.

my gear is:

Up'ed Arreat's Face (with 18% ED/ 17 life jewel in it)

Fortitude

Grief

Beast

Up'ed Gore Riders

Soul Drainer Vampbraces

Up'ed String of Ears

Highlord's

Ravenfrost

Bul-Kathos WB

I also have an anni and a barb torch.

My question is: If I got a Last Wish and switched Grief out for that, and my rings/ammy for the angelic ammy/rings, would that be enough to take on the ubers using frenzy and the + to skills my items give me? would i need to switch out the helm/boots for those ones that give crushing blow (goblin toes and guilliams or something I believe?)

Obviously this is hardcore, and dying once is not an option. I know I'll need to stack my resists, but I do have a pally who could follow me in with salvation (he's a hammerdin, but maybe he should help with 1 point in smite?) Any advice?|||Swap Soul Drainers for some Dracs (don't want weaken overriding LT) and keep a LT wand on switch and you should be fine. Using tgods just for Meph might also be a good idea. The CB from LW and Gores is more than enough. Don't know if salvation will be necessary, I think the fade from LW plus some light res charms could work just as well.|||LW casts life tap so you don't need a wand on switch. I've done Ubers a LOT using a Frenzy/Singer Barb with the following setup:

Arreats (socketed with Ber if you can afford it)

CoH armor (extra resists is good for Uber meph)

T-Gods

EBotD Zerker primary

LW Zerker off-hand

Gores

Highlords

Raven

Dwarf Star

Echo Sticks on switch

Blessed Aim merc to help with AR, the main weakness when using Axes. Nice thing about Axes is pretty much zero Dex req if you have a torch & anni. To me, LW is a no brainer for doing ubers. Casts Life Tap, Fade & give you Might aura so you can use a Blessed Aim merc. What's not to like?

Liberal use of Howl to keep minions scattered while you focus on the bosses.|||I know LW casts LT. Do you enjoy swinging at Uber-Mephisto and watching your hardcore barb's hp go down while waiting for life tap to proc?

*Edit: No, you don't need them, but they make the ubers so much easier and in my experience they're fairly easy to shop. Easy to use as well, just swap it for one of your BO sticks after doing your shouts.|||I agree with Hubb. I always pull Meph cast Life Tap draw to lower left corner, clean up. Pull Ball, cast Life Tap draw to lower left corner. Then typically charge Diablo and let LT proc on it's own.|||Quote:

Never been a problem. Worst case is I have to drink a pot at the beginning and that is fairly rare. LT, in my experience, procs pretty quickly for a frenzier. Depends a lot on your clvl as well. I generally wait until my barb is level 88 before doing Ubers so he's not getting beat up too badly waiting for that first proc to happen - and he's got max resists even battling uber meph.
