Questions about max block and so

I'm kinda new to diablo, and even newer to diablo HC.

My soso is lvl 54, currently in Nightmare act 5.

I planned to do baalruns until I'm level 65-70.

Then I would probably go to hell difficulty and do dia runs, but..

I don't have max block. Is max block required in HC, or can I survive with energy shield

and merc with insight? My life is 600+ but I have had some bad situations where I have nearly died without max block. I don't have insight yet, but decided I'm gonna get it. So guys, what do you think?|||if u�re going to use ES u don�t need max block necessarily and depending which shield u�ll use it�s not even achievable.

no matter what, if u�re planning to make baal and cs runs i�d definitely go for it, specially if u�re not that used to playing a sorc in general|||Start doing countess runs in nm for the good stuff you can get with runes (spirit, insight, enlightenment if you're lucky,...). If you want to go max block, look into the rhyme RW in a bone shield for good block, some resists, some mf and cannot be frozen (not that important on a sorc, but still good).

Also, if you plan on blind teleporting, get enough FHR and FCR for teleporting without problems. There's some builds in the sorc forum that have the exact nrs. You also want to check the sticky "how to make energy shield work for you", which gives a lot of info on the subject (especially how to prebuff ES to get to 90%, and what works good with ES and what not).
