KTA - What's next?

[:1]Howdy y'all,

after a short but brutal session yesterday evening in which our insight charger and conviction FoH-er got murdered in Tower Cellar lvl 1 by a combination of an archer boss pack and a Misshapen boss pack we find ourselves in need of figuring out a new theme for the next run.

The run will start next Monday at 19 UK time.

I don't feel like reposting the rules, etc. I'm sure MrKaxe will do so if the need arises. Suffice it to say that we are an all waypoints and quests untwinked run playing weekly on Monday nights on Hardcore Europe.

People interested to participate (and i DO mean participate, it's no problem if for some reason you have to miss a session, but if in gerneral if you can't commit, don't sign up) can apply in this thread, we do however reserve the right to give returning KTA members preference over new members.

On to the interesting stuff, what the hell will we do next?

What got mentioned yesterday evening:

- Ironman theme: ie no town trips.

Returning idea:

- Classic run

Off the top of my head:

- All (pick class) theme. After the all pallies we could try another class for this.

Just the thought of 8 ama's, 8 valks and 8 rogue mercs running around on one screen makes me jump for joy

- Free pick, do whatever the heck you want.

- The fellowship of the ring, 1 player gets nothing but rings, a piece of armor ("light as a feather and as hard as dragons' scales") and a sword and has to be escorted by the rest of the team to cast something into the Worldstone ^__^

Feel free to bring forth any ideas of your own.

Cheerio!|||There was a nasty Goatman pack that I killed the boss of by charging him away down the corridor but his minions surrounded and took swift care of me while I was cursed from the other pack!

If we did 8 zons we could have all the elements covered as well as a few physical damage attacks as well...i'd be totally in for that with an Exploding Arrow/Immozon!

EDIT: I have msged Ivan as he is quite hard to get hold of but i'm sure the others will see this thread and post their wishes

Hell, even if drinkturps, zrk, peddy etc don't see the thread immediately then we can Ironman/Hide n Seek etc 'til we have a full group ready to rock...in other words, let's not be soooo hasty this time!|||don�t even know what exactly killed me, kept using rejuvs (i almost never do) but it just wasn�t enough...

i really like this zon idea but if its for the valks, we could also make assassin & amazon theme, as this would leave some more freedom for builds (when we were 8 paladins,it was kinda everything taken)

possibly 24 things runnning around with 7 or more auras active at the same time will look awesome and we should take screenshots

as i�ve been a caster for the last two runs, i�d like to go melee this time|||I'm still working on getting Pat's avast! sorted so she can log onto here and post how she feels and if we don't get any movement on this thread from returnees i'll send out a few PM's

Pat did the screenies but I don't mind handling them again if she doesn't want to, or if you want to, even better!

Poison zon with Holy Freeze Merc

Lightning zon with BA merc

Immozon with Defiance merc

Strafer with Might Merc

Multishot with Barb or Rogue

Jabber with Barb or Rogue merc

Fend/Impale zon for the hell of it?! Thorns Merc?!

Sounds badass no? (not the combo of mercs to chars, just the sheer coverage of skills/damage types and adds to them!)|||Sounds great to me. Since I'm already building my second fendazon outside kta this season I'd like to try one of the javvie zons or the multi.|||woooo

Glad to have you back dude, it's been too long...

Passive build sounds cool, you could have a Passion weapon to Zeal/'zerk or a Crescent Moon to Static which would be cool...

We will just do s'more Ironman/Hide n Seek and discussion of builds and mercs and stuff on Monday until we fill up the run, if the boyz haven't seen the thread by sometime next week i'll send out PM's to the likely suspects and as the lag is supposedly gone i'll be in gauss tonight and will shout Adam and maybe Snop if he's about...
